here he is right after I first got him at ~7" SL back in October

and here are a few pics I took just the other day. he's very difficult to photograph because when I approach the tank without feeding him, he tries to attack me. Very Happy

and here you can see his chompers

LOL...he got my finger once. I had lifted the lid and left my hand resting over the open water while getting a food canister with the other hand. next thing I knew he had jumped a couple inches out of the tank and bit my finger. LOL didn't draw blood or anything but it did sting. Very Happy

Jason_S, nice pick up. Where did you get him?

How are those awesome Festae doing that you had? Have you had any luck breeding them? I might have some to let go pretty soon if I get a pair out of them.

I got him from a friend in Cincinnati. He had to sell off his fish collection due to a move out of state.

my festae pair is doing fine. the male is 9" (I measured him the other daY) and the female is probably around 7". they have spawned numerous times but they always eat the fry. Sad not that big a deal though because at the moment I don't have the tanks setup to raise up juveniles anyway.

Very Happy
