<  Amphilophus (like Midas and Trimac) Talk  ~  petsmart midas ?s

hey all my large midas just jumped out of the tank today. i was pissed but i quickly went to petsmart and got a small 2 inch midas to replace him. does anyone know if petsmart carry true midas cichlids. and if so does anyone have some with some size to them i dont want to wait a coulpe of months to see what he or she will become thanks.

I really doubt they have true Midas cichlids. It really depends on their provider.

yeah thats what i though iv seen some pictures of grown out ones still a nice fish i dont really care if they are mixed as long as they look good and have a good personality

I agree, Maybe I shouldn't try so hard to find a pure fish. If it looks nice and has a bad ass personality, that's all that really matters to me. My friend's RD, has the personality of a dog. He even showed me how he pets him on his head hump and the fish seems to enjoy it. Well, untill you stick your whole forearm in the tank...thats another story. Wink

I've seen some nice looking RD's at Petsmart tho. But chances are they prob were hybrids.

I have a 2 midas from petsmart the female is 7in and the male is 9 in. They are really impressive fish and are that big and only about a year and a half old. Petsmart has some very very good full breed midas if I do say so myself.
