My RDs are actually orange instead red as in pictures. I am not good at taking photograph but I guess it is because of the light effect.

hey i think he likes his new background...ur RD has a friendly face....all the ones i have seen has nasty faces...hehehehe....even mine does...but...SHIKES!!.....thats a freaken nice lookin female u got there...i think it might be the best one i've ever seen...but the only thing is...it dont really look like a RD to me Very Happy ...but im sure it is.....hope they breed and get some RED RDs.... The female is not RD. It looks like Vieja color morph but not a pure one(kind of hybrid that people call Red Monkey, I guess it is Vieja X Red Parrot).

Should I write a thread named "RD or Midas? The right answer is that no one know for sure"? he he. He look 100% Midas but I actually took him from RD fry! The appearance says nothing about its gene pool (at least in this RD/Midas case).

The third photo of your friends fish, that fish is going to be fantastic, it will look like a jk with a huge head. Have your friend ship that fish to Texas. Your small red female is very nice, please take some more photos of her and post them.

armac, I heard it is JK X Red Dragon that it got white dots on the body. Same as you, my friend loves it very much. I get you its another picture here.
