Hey all, I'm new to the forum, but not new to fish. I Just thought I would post some pix of my Red Tiger Oscar, ZEUS.

Here's him when he was at 2 inches.

He's about 6 inches in these ones.
HE LOVED his helmet when he was small enough to fit in it.

And this is him NOW, at 10 inches from nose to tail, and 2 1/2 inches wide!!!

This next one is my FAV!!! No doubt, and YES, those are some HYDROPONICS he's growin in his crib on the back wall!!! lol

And his home

I actually have a question also. He is currentally living with a 2 1/2 inch JD. They have been fine thus far, I was just wondering what other people's Views are on them living together in a 60 gal. any replies are welcome, and apritated!

about ur lil "?".....i dont think the small lil JD will be o.k. in the tank with ur such a big oscar.....i mean....if he really gets hungry and ur not home to feed him....he just might chase around the JD and eat it just like how u would eat a candy bar......thats what i think...but i think he u dont let him get hungry....the JD will be "maybe" o.k. until he grows bigger and wont fit into the oscars mouth anymore....by that time u wont have to worry anymore... just my opinion... Very Happy

Hi Lostfedexman,
I'm also new here.
As for your O eating your JD well, yes there is the possibility that it may happen, but I would have to say that it’s very unlikely. I am keeping red jewels that are about 2 inches with jaguars, Oscars and red devils that are all 30cm, they don't get eaten, and they have been together for nearly 3 years. (And I do feed them feeder goldfish) So unless you have been feeding your O, feeders that are 2inches it is my experience that your JD should be fine, and if I where you I’d let the two of them grow up together it may be a different story if you try and introduce the two of them together later on. (Your O will continue to grow as well.) And they can't stay apart forever your tank just isn't big enough. That’s just my opinion of course it’s really up to you.

Hey, i forgot to say when you put them together, if you keep the light on for a couple of days everything should be fine. (It's normally at night that you have to worry about things happening in your tank.)

Hey,

Well if it was me, I would have had the devider out from word go. So take it out ASAP, let them grow up and mature together.
You will end up seeing more action in your tank as well.
But if your worried out the little guy being eaten then introduce them slowly.
Or just keep an eye on them.

In my opinion 60g is too small for oscar. I think 100g is exact minimum... Smile
