I recently bought a 4" Red Devil from a friend of mine that owns a LFS he said it is true Labiatus what do you think? Also how big would my RD have to be before it would develope a hump? How fast do they grow? What is the best way to tell if it is male or female?

Its would be hard to tell until it matures.Reddevils grow very fast if in a big tank. They get a hump on their head around 6 inches. That is a very nice fish what size tank is it in.If u want it to get big fast do 50% water changes 3 times a week and feed it a healthy diet like(cichlid gold pellets, earthworms, crickets and ect.)cichlid gold is the best color enchancer on the market if u feed him these pellets on a regular basis its colors will become a darker richer red.

Nice filter Labrat. I might just get two of those for my 90 gallon instead of having one and one canister filter.

For my 60, I have two Emporer 280's as you can see.
