I found this on midas-cichlid.com

The Midas Cichlid is one of the most aggressive cichlids. It was especially the yellow and orange kind of color that succeeded in usurping the best and deepest areas in a river – thanks to its strong power in specific regions of its natural habitat. Usurping the deeper areas offered them the possibility to escape the dynamite fishing – this kind of fishing that depleted the grey, less aggressive specimen of the Amphilophus Cetrinellus.

It sorta depends on the way your looking at the agression, now are barred more agressive then somthing like a severum, yes. Are they more agressive then your more common Red form, well it all depends on the individual. Im sure some of us have seen mellow reds and homicidal barred. You just have to hope you get a good one if you want super agression. If you can go and see the midas at the store or breeder look for the biggest dominate one, then youll have a better shot at a lunatic
