<  Amphilophus (like Midas and Trimac) Talk  ~  Amphilophus Trimaculatus -Problems with eyes

Hi,

My female trimac has a very bad eye. Here eye is very big and comes out of his head. Looks like a small white ball - like the helloween goodies.
The water quality is okay! Yesterday the fish looked fine and today she looks very sick!

this is a sick provoted by stress of the fish my fh had the same the second reason is a sick that is imposible to heal unfortunetly you cqan try to heali it by medicin called in Poland capifos writ this name in google and see the deposiitory and try to heal it watch out beacause catfihes doesn't tolerant this medicine

hi seb,

thank you, yes the fish had a lot of stress, I tried to breed them, but my male hunt and bite the female.
Now she is in a seperate tank, and i will try to help with medicine.



looks like that, but her eye is bigger!

i had the same problem with fh's one was heald but the other didn't survive

Welcome to the wonderful world of Exophthalmia, aka Pop-eye as well as a few others. Best treatment is Epsom salt

sh..t, the other eye pop out. I seperate the fish and give him very clear water every day, but she looks very bad Crying or Very sad
