<  other American Cichlids  ~  Please help my oscar!

MY OSCAR IS 4 YEARS OLD AND HAS THOSE HOLES IN THE TOP OF HIS HEAD I THOOUGHT HE WAS BURNING HIMSELF ON THE HEATER AT NIGHT CAUSE HE USUALLY LAYS AT THE BOTTOM OF IT WHAT DO YOU DO TO HELP HIM OUT OF THIS HOLE SITUATION I DONT WANT TO LOSE HIM HES MY BABY

i usually vaccum the rocks and take almost 1/2 the water out so tonight im
doing that and getting new rocks and filters again is there anything i nned
to put in the tank i usually use stuff for hard water and thats it ands
hes done fine with that those makrs on his head usually come and go
thats why i thought he was hitting himself on the heater cause hes always
next to it at night do you thinmk this will help is htere something else
i can put in the water to help him i think stuff from the gold fish i
put in there for him to eat add stuff to the water cause i have noticed
little snails too

Its Hole in the head (HITH) very common for oscars, also oscars get sick alot so have fun. Well do alot of water changes once a week. Put aquarium salt in tank and he/she should be okay. The hole should heal and close up in time. Smile
